Clara GAA & Camogie Fixtures

Put Friday August 29th into your diaries. As part of the celebrations we are holding Family Friendly Event to celebrate everything that is hurling/camogie in Clara over the last 60 years. At the moment activities include: Open Air music by Loose Cannons, Long Puc and other events where the 1986 stars take on the 2013 stars, Target Shooting and Novelty Races for all ages, Hand print into history, bring you own picnic or try something from the BBQ. Tickets cost adults €10, Secondary School Children €5, Primary School Children go free. Please no glass allowed.

So as part of the celebration a special newsletter/yearbook is going to be put together, but for this any old club photos taken over the last 60 years could be given to the club PRO (Trevor Cummins 085 1079791) to be scanned and entered into this newsletter/yearbook. Also the PRO is looking for a Jersey from the 1986 team that a player/family may like to donate back to the Club so it can be framed,mounted and displayed in the upgraded club house.

Clara G4M+O is back in training on Friday evenings at 8pm. For anyone looking for a bit of craic while getting fit come along. It's not all about Football but more about the social, fun and fitness of the sport. No age to old or fitness to bad a sessions are tailored for women of strenghts.

35 Years OF Clara Camogie

Clara Camogie celebrated 35 years young last Friday night in Clara Hall. They hosted a Boston tea party and Auction which raise some money for the running of the club. A really big thanks was given to all our supporters, managers, selectors, mentors and volunteers over the last 35 years. DVD's are on sale for all the Finals Clara were in during 2012/2013. The set of 7 DVD's include 2012 Intermediate League, County and Leinster finals, The 2013 All-Ireland Intermediate Semi-Final and Final, The 2013 Kilkenny Senior League and County Final. DVD's will be sold as a set. Please contact Trevor (085-1079791) to reserve your set.

There are also Mugs for sale to commemorate the success of last year. There are three mugs in the set,one for each Intermediate Final that was won, listing the names of the full panel for each final. Please contact Jimmy Fitzpatrick (086-8245106) to place your order.
